Makes enough for 2 large servings, or 4 small ones.
Ingredients
- 2 bananas, peeled and frozen
- 1/2 cup frozen berries
- 1 cup fresh sprouts
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, mint or parsley (optional)
Directions
- Put the fruit in a food processor, with a small amount (1/4 cup or less) of water (or juice), and puree until it’s smooth. Add the sprouts and fresh herbs (if you want them), and blend again until it’s all combined.
- You can also make other flavors if you want – switch the berries for other frozen fruit (mango, pineapple, kiwi, etc), add a tablespoon or so of cocoa powder (with or without the berries), add some vanilla extract, add a drizzle of maple syrup, add some orange or lime zest, add a swirl of peanut/almond/etc butter, stir in some healthy vegan cookie dough.
