Raspberry Ice Cream Superfood

Ingredients

  • 2 banana, peeled and frozen
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup alfalfa sprouts
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, or mint or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Put the fruit in a food processor, with a small amount (1/4 cup or less) of water (or juice), and puree until it’s smooth.
  • Add the sprouts and fresh herbs (if you want them), and blend again until it’s all combined.

Notes

Variations:
- switch the berries for other frozen fruit (mango, pineapple, kiwi)
- add a tablespoon or so of cocoa powder (with/without berries)
- add some vanilla extract
- add a drizzle of maple syrup
- add some orange or lime zest
- add a swirl of peanut/almond butter
- stir in some healthy vegan cookie dough

Top with:
*extra berries
*chocolate square
*toasted coconut
*chopped walnuts
*homemade granola
