Spiced Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup, or brown rice syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon, optional
  • pinch ground cardamom, optional
  • pinch ground cloves, optional
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, or ground (optional)
  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk

Instructions

  • Boil some water.
  • Put the cocoa and maple syrup in a mug and stir until it makes a paste. Stir in whatever spices you want to add, and then pour in boiling water. Heat up some non-dairy milk and use a frother if you have to increase its volume, and add to the mug.
