Garlicky Sauteed Kale

Ingredients

  • 3-4 leaves kale
  • 1 clove fresh garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1 tsp olive oil, or toasted sesame oil
  • pinch sea salt, to taste
  • pinch black pepper, optional

Instructions

  • Chop the kale, removing any tough stems if you wish.
  • Heat a pan to medium-high, then add the garlic and olive oil and saute for 2-3 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Add the kale, and sea salt, stirring occasionally until softened.
  • Sprinkle with more salt and some pepper if you like, then serve. Also nice sprinkled with slivered almonds.

Notes

You could do this with any other green as well, spinach or chard or bok choy.
