Baked Fall Fruit
Servings: 2 servings
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 1 whole star anise
- 4 cardamom pods
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cups apple, chopped
- 2 cups pear, chopped
- 1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen
Instructions
- Put the apple juice and whole spices in a pot, bring to a boil, turn down and simmer for 10 minutes while you chop the fruit. Remove the whole spices when this is done.
- Pour the juice mixture over the fruits in a baking dish, and then stir to coat the fruit evenly. Put in an oven heated to 350 degrees F and bake for 20 minutes, or until the fruit is soft.
- Serve the fruit along with a Sesame Oat Spice Muffin for a full breakfast.
