Apple Cranberry Crumble

Ingredients

  • 2 cup apple, chopped
  • 1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1-2 Tbsp unrefined sugar, (coconut, date, sucanat, palm, maple syrup)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch sea salt

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp unrefined sugar, (coconut, date, sucanat, palm)
  • 2 Tbsp coconut, unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup water, cold - or fruit juice - apple or cranberry would be best

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Put the fruit in a baking dish and sprinkle with the sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
  • Mix together the ingredients for the topping, and pour the water or juice on to moisten it. Spread the topping over the fruit, and put the dish in the oven, uncovered.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the fruit is soft and the topping is lightly browned.
