Tropi-Kale Breeze Smoothie
Pineapple is a natural metabolism booster, has an enzyme that helps with digestion, and helps cut through the bitterness of kale. If you haven’t tried greens in a smoothie before, this is the one to try first. You could swap the kale for spinach if you want a milder flavor to start. We’re also using avocado for creaminess instead of a banana, so this is a lowercarb option than other smoothies. Add a teaspoon of matcha green tea powder for an extra boost, if you’d like.
Servings: 1 servings
Ingredients
- 1 cup pineapple, frozen or fresh
- 1 cup mango, frozen or fresh
- 1/2-1 cup kale, stems removed, leaves chopped
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup water, or coconut water
- 1 tsp matcha green tea powder, optional
Instructions
- Purée everything in a blender until smooth, adding more water (or coconut milk) if needed.
Notes
Matcha green tea powder contains catechins, which minimize inflammation and maximize fat-burning potential.
