Seasoned Kale Chips
Baked kale chips (whether made in a dehydrator or oven) are a great snack to make that get some healthy kale into you and also give you a much better option than potato chips. It is one of my favorite healthy vegan recipes for people trying to lose weight, since they have lots of flavor to satisfy your taste buds but are much lower in calories than typical processed snack foods.
Servings: 2 servings
Ingredients
- 4 cup kale, washed and torn into large pieces
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp onion powder, or 1 Tbsp fresh onion
- 1-2 Tbsp nutritional yeast
- pinch sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
- Put the kale on a baking sheet, and sprinkle all the seasonings and olive oil, and massage it into the kale.
- Bake for 10-20 minutes, or until the kale gets crispy and dry.
- Once baked, let them sit for a few minutes to cool before serving. Keep in an air-tight container, though they don’t keep very well so it’s best to bake and enjoy them the same day.
