Basic Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats, dry
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon, optional
  • 1/2 cup non-dairy milk, optional
  • 1 Tbsp flaxseed, ground, or chia seeds

Instructions

  • Mix the oats, cinnamon (if using) and flax together in a bowl.
  • Boil some water, and pour over the oats.
  • Let them soak about 5 min, until soft. Top with whatever fruit, nuts and seeds you like.
  • You can also let the oats soak with cold or room temperature water, it just needs longer to soften - half an hour to overnight.
