Basic Oatmeal
Servings: 1 serving
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats, dry
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon, optional
- 1/2 cup non-dairy milk, optional
- 1 Tbsp flaxseed, ground, or chia seeds
Instructions
- Mix the oats, cinnamon (if using) and flax together in a bowl.
- Boil some water, and pour over the oats.
- Let them soak about 5 min, until soft. Top with whatever fruit, nuts and seeds you like.
- You can also let the oats soak with cold or room temperature water, it just needs longer to soften - half an hour to overnight.
