Spiced Applesauce

- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 0.25 tsp nutmeg
- 0.25 tsp allspice
- 0.25 tsp ground cardamom, optional
- 2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup, optional
Heat a pot to medium-high, then add the spices, stirring or shaking frequently to make sure they don't burn.
Once the spices are toasted, stir in the applesauce and maple syrup. Serve warm, or put back in the jar to keep in the fridge.
