May 2020: Meals and workout at home
Today, I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at home – cause that’s what we do now! I also ate some chocolate, with a chat about how current circumstances impact what I’m making… and did a workout, outside, once the rain got down to a drizzle.

October 2019: Yoga, Stir Fry + Pasta
Today, I did some yoga outside, made a matcha latte to keep me at my desk, put chickpeas in everything, and used up the variety of veggies left in my fridge/freezer.

Today, I went for a run in Prospect Park, mixed some immunity superfood powder into some vegan yogurt to hopefully avoid getting sick during back-to-school time, and went out for tacos with my friend.

June 2019: Salads All Day

March 2019: Oatmeal, Leftovers & Granola Bars
Today, I woke up and did some stretchy yoga, then had oatmeal & chai, a really late lunch, and made some granola bars from my new book!

What I ate on a rainy day, working from home, and in need of some groceries… but managed to scavenge the fridge and pull together three very filling vegan meals.

Peanut Sauce Ingredients
– 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
– 2 Tbsp apple cider or brown rice vinegar

November 2017: chickpea + eggplant curry
Dinner came out amazing, I think my CSA bag (and some time on the ground) has renewed my kitchen creativity… hope you enjoy!
EASY CHANA MASALA (ish) INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 zucchini or onion
- 1 14oz can chickpeas
- 1 1/2 cups cooked
- 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp curry powder more or less, to your taste
- 1 tsp ground ginger or 1 Tbsp fresh, grated
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped
- 1/4 tsp sea salt more or less, to your taste pinch black pepper
SAVORY EGGPLANT CURRY INGREDIENTS:
- 1 eggplant diced
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 1/2 tsp curry powder more or less, to your taste
- 1 tsp paprika smoked
- 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast optional pinch sea salt
March 2014: On the Go
I’ve been refining my techniques for taking food with me and finding food while I’m out, and wanted to share them with you.
December 2012: Simple Winter
I wake up at 7am when the sun’s rising later, and drink some water right away. If I have time, I’ll boil water and make tea or grate some ginger juice into hot water with lemon. I like to do some kind of activity when I wake up – whether it’s a run, workout or stretching – to get me going for the day.
