There are a few important supplements that you should add to help support your body as it works to get into balance. They can give you much faster results than food alone. These supplements are recommended as a temporary support to rebalance your system, and shouldn’t be necessary on a long-term basis. Take them for 4-6 weeks, then take a look at how you’re feeling. All of these supplements should be taken with food unless it says otherwise.

I’ve listed some vegan options that I’ve found to have the best quality and value, but of course feel free to find your own. Just be sure to look for the highest quality form of ingredients.

NB: Some medications have negative interactions with nutrient supplements. Be sure to check with your physician before taking any of these supplements.

Probiotics

Probiotics are important if you’ve taken antibiotics in the past 3 months to re-establish healthy gut flora. If you notice a lot of bloating and gas, particularly when you have sugar, this is a sign that you need to rebalance your gut flora with probiotics:
