Dairy-Free Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder, or pure solid chocolate or carob powder
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup, or 1 tsp stevia
  • 1 cup water, boiling
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk

Instructions

  • Put the cocoa and maple syrup in a mug and stir until it makes a paste. Pour in the water and/or non-dairy milk and stir until fully combined.
  • Add the non-dairy milk and stir again to mix.

Notes

If you want to give your cocoa a kick, add any liqueur of your choice. An ounce of brandy or cointreau, kahlua or any liqueur of your choice
